Submitting contributions to Art on the line

The editors welcome submissions on any aspect of visual culture. Submissions for articles will be peer-reviewed by at least two academic referees. Other submissions for reviews and news items will be considered by the editor or one of his associates. From time to time Art on the Line will present special issues focusing upon a single theme or subject. This might draw upon special research undertaken in collaboration with a current exhibition or conference and proposals are welcomed. Please contact the editor in the first instance.

Since this is primarily an online journal we ask you to submit your contribution in electronic format: send by e-mail or by post on CD or floppy disk. Please check first with our editorial office at enq@waspress.co.uk before e-mailing large files, particularly images, giving your e-mail the subject heading Aotl file size

Our preferred file format is Word files for text, using Arial or Helvetica font. If you are unable to send in this format please consult the editorial assistant on enq@waspress.co.uk giving your message the subject heading Aotl format to check that we can accept your files.

We can accept most types of illustration: we would prefer to receive scanned images on floppy disc or CD or by email as TIFF files. Please ensure photographs are of good quality. If sending by e-mail please check that we can receive your file size and format before attempting to send it by contacting enq@waspress.co.uk giving your e-mail the subject heading Aotl visuals. We may be able to use video or animations if appropriate - please check first before sending. Please check any special requirements with us by e-mailing enq@waspress.co.uk giving your e-mail the subject heading Aotl visuals. All copyright clearance is the author's responsibility and full acknowledgement of sources should, where appropriate, be included.
